Meet Cody Brown: Streamlining Production at EME
March 13, 2026
Veteran-Owned and Proudly Made in the U.S.A

EME Company produces medical textile products that support hospitals and healthcare providers every day. The product line includes telemetry pouches, labor and delivery items, and ice bags. Each product is manufactured with close attention to detail to ensure it meets the needs of medical professionals.
A hands-on approach to production allows the team to stay involved at every stage. This helps maintain consistent quality while offering products at a competitive price.
Quality remains central to every product manufactured. Being a smaller manufacturer allows the team to stay closely connected to the work and monitor each step of the process. This level of involvement helps ensure that products meet high standards before reaching customers.
Healthcare providers rely on dependable supplies. That responsibility drives the team to deliver products that perform consistently in real care settings.
Diversity plays an important role in how the company operates. Our team values a workforce with different perspectives and builds relationships with a wide range of partners and customers. This approach strengthens connections across the communities served.
Veteran ownership shapes a strong commitment to giving back. Supporting the community and building relationships with healthcare providers remains a priority. Hospitals and nurses depend on reliable access to medical supplies, and the team works to meet those needs quickly.
When challenges arise, customers know they can call and receive support. Providing that level of service brings a sense of purpose to the work and reinforces the commitment to care quality and community.

I began working at EME during high school and continued working part-time while attending LSU. I worked on the production floor, made boxes, pulled orders, and even drove the van from warehouse to warehouse when EME consisted of 3 buildings. After graduating, I moved into the role of Inventory and Logistics Coordinator where I moved LTL freight and assisted with managing inventory. I was promoted to Manufacturing Manager in January of 2021, where I do a little bit of everything, such as managing employees, staying on top of raw material, finished goods and mechanic’s parts inventory. I am also involved in quality control, purchasing, negotiating freight rates, control of the shipping department, and special projects.
I started my career at EME in 2005 as an Industrial Equipment Technician and became Project Engineer in 2016.
